What can I become?

Your employment can be at public authorities such as 'Trafik- og Byggestyrelsen', infrastructure managers such as 'Banedanmark' and 'Metroselskabet', operators such as DSB and private companies such as consultants, entrepreneurs, and vendors.

RailTech DTU is established as a collaboration between DTU and Banebranchen, and therefore the center has close contact with the industry's member companies.

A great way to gain knowledge of the job opportunities in the industry is to participate in the career events which RailTech DTU organizes once or more a year. Another possibility is looking for one of the internships the companies regularly post. It can be part of the mandatory Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) internship, but there is also a possibility for an internship on a master’s level. RailTech DTU can help you find the right company.

Alternatively, you can also look for a relevant study job to experience some of the work tasks that might be part of your future career. RailTech can also help you with getting in touch with the companies. We have an extensive business network. 

A last option to get in contact with the industry companies could be writing an assignment - a study project or a thesis - in collaboration with a company. You can find current project proposals in DTU's Internship and Project Bank. Alternatively, RailTech DTU can help you contact the company you want to collaborate with. The companies themselves post several current project proposals.
