The RailTech centre is a cooperation between DTU and the Danish Rail Sector Association, Banebranchen.
One important aim is to increase the interest for the railway business among the students, and the centre works as a platform for the communication of the railway industry's student projects, data, case studies, student jobs, internships, etc. The centre also operates as a contact forum where any research-based advisory and project cooperation within transport authorities and organisations is to be discussed. And thereafter channeled to the relevant DTU departments. The diversity in the railway business generates a need for interdisciplinary solutions, which are to be coordinated in the centre.
The participating departments at DTU are: DTU Civil Engineering, DTU Compute, DTU Electrical Engineering, DTU Fotonik, DTU Management, DTU Mechanical Engineering, DTU Wind Energy and DTU Diplom.
